Since the Turkish invasion of 1974 the old city of Nicosia is probably the world’s last divided city. It’s been caught in time and is a snapshot of the styles and texture of the seventies (though that’s disappearing fast).
The Nicosia collages are a continuing series of collages on canvas using material from the walls of the old city near the green line.
Evolution of a Poster and Evolution of a Poster 2 are both perfect examples of the intertextuality on the walls.

More posters from The Office gallery in the Old City in Nicosia. Because of the paper used the posters actually endure for a long time, being very difficult to remove and consequently they constantly change and evolve, literally over years.
